      Wind Tunnel Engineer - Electronics required on a permanent basis to join an industry leading motorsport business.Are you looking for an exciting opportunity at the forefront of off racing technology? Do you have experience working in an advanced engineering / R&D environment? Do you think you have what it takes to work at pace and deal with the challenges of a complex motorsport environment? As a Wind Tunnel Engineer you will be responsible for ensuring that the electronics used by the aerodynamics department are designed, manufactured and maintained to the highest quality.Key responsibilities:Developing new electronic systems to assist with aerodynamic testingUse CAD for electrical system modelling including creating formboard drawings and pin outs.Ensure the functionality of all electrical systems used by the aero department.Investigate new technologies and systems related to aerodynamic testingManaging electrical component stock and ensuring suitable spare stock is available at all times.Calibration of sensorsLiaising with both internal and external customers to ensure that systems are compatibleTest and sign-off of all electrical systems as ready for use for aero test purposesDocumentation for correct production, assembly and use of electrical systems including CAD models, assemblies and drawings.Specification of any test equipment and rigs required for sign-off of electrical systemsExperience required:Knowledge of Siemens NX CAD software or similarExperience with CAD cabling modelling tools (NX electrical routing preferable)Experience of manufacturing wiring harnesses using TE Raychem system 25 wiringExperience of working within an R&D environmentExperience of EtherCAT and CAN systemsDelivers timely information and reporting (delivering to deadlines set on the job list and keeping on top of communication).Initiative and InnovationAbility to work with the team, external suppliers and colleaguesThis is an awesome opportunity to be part of a leading manufacturing business which offers an interesting, varied and exciting workload coupled with a motivated and passionate culture.
