Looking for your next career move with zero commute stress and premium perks?
Randstad is seeking an experienced, resilient Children & Families Social Worker for a unique, highly rewarding block-booking opportunity.
If you are looking for a role that offers a change of scenery, incredible professional variety, and an unbeatable work-life balance setup, this is it. To make this transition completely seamless for you, the partnership is offering complimentary accommodation for two nights a week. This allows you to condense your face-to-face community work into 4 days on-site, before heading home to finish your week with a dedicated work-from-home day.
Hours: Full-Time | 4 Days On-Site, 1 Day Working from Home
Perks: Complimentary Accommodation Provided (2 nights per week)
Why This Opportunity Clears the Schedule
- Accommodation Covered: Avoid the hassle and expense of finding a place to stay; your accommodation for your on-site days is fully sorted and provided.
- The Perfect Split: Enjoy a structured 5-day week designed around modern flexibility-4 days dedicated to hands-on practice, and 1 day completely remote.
- Stunning Rural Setting: Experience the reward of supporting tight-knit, unique rural communities where your intervention genuinely changes lives.
- The Randstad Experience: Access fast-track onboarding, reliable weekly payroll, and a dedicated consultant to manage your booking from start to finish.
What You'll Be Doing
As an integral part of the Children & Families team, you will deliver robust statutory services to safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people. Your day-to-day will involve:
- Managing a varied caseload, including child protection, looked-after children, and children in need.
- Carrying out comprehensive, child-centered assessments and implementing effective care plans.
- Participating in multi-agency meetings, children's hearings, and case conferences.
- Working closely with families, schools, and health professionals to ensure integrated support.
What We Need From You (The Requirements)
Because this is a remote, rural territory requiring confidence and strong decision-making from day one, we can only consider experienced practitioners.
- Professional Registration: Active registration with the SSSC (Scottish Social Services Council) as a qualified Social Worker.
- C&F Expertise: Proven experience working within a statutory UK Children & Families or Child Protection team.
- Legislative Knowledge: Strong, practical understanding of Scottish childcare legislation and safeguarding procedures.
- Driver: A full UK driving license and access to a vehicle are essential for navigating the community during your on-site days.
