Key Responsibilities
- Support children and young people whose care plan is long-term, guiding them through to independence.
- Carry out regular visits to children in their homes, building positive relationships while ensuring all statutory requirements are met.
- Help children achieve permanence in a timely manner, maintain family relationships, and understand their life story.
- Prepare clear, high-quality reports for care planning and decision-making, ensuring all work meets statutory guidelines and strict deadlines.
- Drive care plans forward in close collaboration with your Line Manager, Independent Reviewing Officers (IROs), Virtual Schools, LAC Health, and Family Support Workers.
Requirements & Key Criteria
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years post-qualifying experience, including direct experience working with children in long-term care.
- Professional Registration: Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
- On-Site Commitment: Ability to work on-site at the Grimsby office an average of 3 days per week (non-negotiable, with flexibility in how days are arranged).
