We are hiring an experienced Qualified Social Worker for a locum position within the Children with Disabilities (CWD) Team in Kirklees.
Role Details
- Position: Locum CWD Social Worker
- Location: Huddersfield / Kirklees (Hybrid Working)
- Pay Rate: £35.00 per hour (Umbrella)
- Contract: Ongoing Locum (Full-Time, 37 hrs/week)

Key Responsibilities
- Complete outcome-focused assessments for children and young people with severe and complex disabilities.
- Manage Child in Need (CIN), Child Protection (CP), and Looked After Children (LAC) plans.
- Coordinate specialist short breaks, direct payment packages, and multi-agency support.
- Collaborate closely with SEN teams, health professionals, occupational therapists, and schools.
Requirements
- Degree/Diploma in Social Work with active Social Work England registration.
- Minimum 2 years post-qualifying experience in a statutory CWD, Safeguarding, or Locality team.
- Valid UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle.
- DBS registered on the Update Service.
