We are urgently recruiting for skilled Qualified Social Workers to step into high-priority roles across Children in Need, Child Protection, and Children with Disabilities teams in Accrington. Key Responsibilities
Depending on your specific team alignment (CiN, CP, or CwD), your daily duties will involve:
Case Management: Holding a complex caseload of children and families, ensuring their voices are central to all intervention plans.
Safeguarding & Assessments: Undertaking comprehensive statutory assessments, implementing robust child protection plans, and initiating care proceedings when necessary.
Multi-Agency Collaboration: Working closely with schools, health professionals, and emergency services to deliver integrated support networks.
Disability Support: Delivering specialized, strength-based assessments and care plans tailored specifically for children with complex physical or learning disabilities.
Strict Candidate Criteria
The local authority has outlined non-negotiable compliance guidelines for this intake. All applicants must meet the following criteria:
Experience: Minimum of 3 years' post-qualifying statutory experience specifically held within a permanent local authority post.
Employment Gap: To meet local agency requirements, you must not have held a permanent or fixed-term position directly with this local authority within the last 12 weeks.
Credentials: Active registration with Social Work England and a recognized Social Work degree.
