We are seeking a dedicated and professional Residential Care Worker to join our team in Ammanford. In this role, you will be instrumental in providing high-quality care and support to children and young people aged who are in looked-after care. Your commitment to safety, well-being, and development will help create a nurturing environment for those who need it most.
Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive day-to-day care, including meal preparation, cleaning, and personal support tailored to individual care plans.
- Foster a safe, positive, and stable environment where young people feel heard, understood, and encouraged to grow.
- Maintain strict compliance with all regulatory requirements and the service's Statement of Purpose.
- Administer medication accurately and maintain precise documentation.
- Collaborate effectively with families, external agencies, and the broader care team to ensure holistic support and positive outcomes.
- Promote the physical, emotional, and social development of each child through consistent boundaries and engaging, inclusive activities.
- Essential: Proven experience within children's home care, social work, nursing, or assisted living settings.
- Essential: Strong working knowledge of care regulations, safeguarding practices, and child development.
- Essential: Full UK Driving License.
- Desirable: Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care or Residential Childcare, and familiarity with de-escalation and positive behaviour management techniques.
- Salary: £16-£18 per hour
