Doncaster Council is recruiting experienced Children's Social Workers to join a range of frontline teams on 3 to 12-month fixed-term contracts. About the Role & Service Areas:
These fixed-term opportunities span key service areas across Children's Services, including Child Protection, Children in Need, Safeguarding, and Looked After Children (CLA). You will work in a supportive environment delivering statutory interventions, completing robust assessments, and collaborating with multi-agency partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Caseload Management: Manage complex caseloads, delivering effective, child-centred interventions to safeguard children and support families.
- Statutory Assessments: Complete high-quality statutory assessments, risk evaluations, and Section 47 enquiries.
- Child-Centred Planning: Co-produce, implement, and review tailored care and protection plans to achieve positive long-term outcomes.
- Court & Multi-Agency Practice: Prepare and present high-quality reports for court proceedings, statutory reviews, and multi-agency conferences.
- Professional Judgement: Apply sound analytical skills to inform evidence-based risk management and decision-making.
What We Are Looking For:
- Qualifications & Registration: Qualified Social Worker with active registration with Social Work England (SWE).
- Experience: Proven post-qualifying experience within statutory Children's Services (CP, CIN, CLA, or Assessment).
- Skills: Strong analytical, risk assessment, and report-writing skills with the confidence to manage complex cases.
- Mobility: Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for community visits across Doncaster.
