Job Title: Children's Support Worker
Location: Penzance / St Ives, Cornwall
Salary: £14.00 - £18.00 per hour (Plus holiday pay and pension benefits)
Job Description:
Are you a resilient and proactive support worker looking for a meaningful new opportunity in complex care? Randstad Care is expanding into Cornwall, and we are urgently recruiting experienced support workers to join our core team in the West Cornwall area. You will be working directly within children's services and residential settings, providing high quality, trauma informed care to young people with neurodevelopmental conditions, autism, and complex emotional needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver nurturing 1:1 and 2:1 person centered support to vulnerable young people
Proactively manage and de-escalate challenging behaviours using positive behaviour support frameworks
Assist with personal care, daily living skills, and escorting young people to community activities
Maintain precise, professional daily logs and compliance records

What We Are Looking For:
Minimum 6 months of proven experience supporting children or young people in residential or youth support settings
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or a willingness to apply
Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare is desirable but not essential
