We are actively recruiting adaptable, confident, and enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to work with our partner secondary schools across Liverpool, Sefton, and Knowsley. As a Cover Supervisor, you will lead classes in the absence of regular teaching staff, overseeing set work and maintaining a positive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise secondary school classes (Key Stages 3 and 4) using pre-prepared lesson plans provided by the school.
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively, enforcing school policies to ensure a safe and productive environment.
- Assist students with their work, answering queries and keeping them on task.
- Collect completed work at the end of lessons and pass feedback to permanent staff.
- Maintain high standards of pupil engagement and well-being.
What We Are Looking For
- A degree qualification or substantial experience working with young people (e.g., sports coaching, youth work, tutoring, teaching assistant roles).
- Strong communication, presence, and classroom management skills.
- Flexibility, adaptability, and reliability.
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
- Right to work in the UK.
