About the Role
This is a full-time, temporary Cover Supervisor position commencing in September. The primary purpose of this role is to provide high-quality supervision of pupil learning, ensuring that students remain on task and productive during the absence of their regular classroom teachers. The successful candidate will deliver pre-set work, respond to student inquiries, and uphold the academy's rigorous standards of behaviour. When not required for cover, the individual will provide vital departmental support, assist with lunchtime duties, and may even act as a form tutor or exam invigilator, making them an indispensable part of the daily operations of the school.

Requirements
... - Academic Foundation: GCSE in English and Maths (or equivalent).
- School Experience: Proven experience working within a school or team-based environment.
- Enhanced DBS: A valid, enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check on the update service.

Key Responsibilities
- Supervise Learning: Deliver cover work set by absent teachers, ensuring students follow the supportive learning framework.
- Behavior Management: Maintain a positive and purposeful classroom environment by upholding academy behavior policies.
- Student Assistance: Respond to questions and assist pupils in completing their set activities effectively.
- Promote Inclusion: Ensure all pupils, regardless of ability or background, feel accepted and supported in the classroom.
- Progress Feedback: Provide immediate, constructive feedback to pupils regarding their achievement during the lesson.
- Reporting: Prepare accurate reports for the returning teacher on pupil progress, behaviour, and any issues encountered.
- Resource Management: Ensure all student work is collected, organised, and returned to the appropriate department.
- Departmental Support: Assist teaching staff with administrative or classroom-based tasks when cover is not required.
- Duty Cover: Support the safety and well-being of the school community by assisting with lunchtime duties and detentions.
- Safeguarding: Comply with all policies relating to child protection and health and safety, reporting concerns immediately.
