Every property is different, which means no two days are the same. From carrying out initial inspections and electrical testing to completing repairs, upgrades, and full installations, you will help transform vacant properties into safe, compliant, and welcoming homes.
Working within our dedicated Voids Team across the South region, your work directly impacts turnaround times-getting homes ready for re-let as quickly and safely as possible without compromising on quality or compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality domestic electrical works across vacant social housing properties.
- Execute initial inspections, fault finding, electrical testing, remedial repairs, and full installations.
- Ensure all works meet strict safety standards, regulatory guidelines, and quality benchmarks.
- Work collaboratively with wider direct maintenance colleagues and contractors to minimize void turnaround times.
- Act as an ambassador for our organization, demonstrating professionalism and a commitment to high-quality service.
What You'll Need
- Trade Qualification: NVQ Level 3 / AM2 (or equivalent).
- Testing & Inspection: City & Guilds 2391 (or 2394/2395 equivalent).
- Wiring Regulations: Current 18th Edition BS7671 certification.
- Licence: Full UK driving licence.
- Experience: Background working within social housing, void properties, or under NICEIC certification is advantageous.
- Mindset: Strong commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and delivering great outcomes for residents.
