Are you a passionate Children's Social Worker looking to make a lasting difference using dynamic, whole-family approaches? We are currently recruiting experienced practitioners for a high-performing Family Safeguarding Team based in Lancaster.
This role covers a mixed caseload across Children in Need (CIN), Child Protection (CP), and Children in Care, offering a varied, fast-paced environment where your interventions directly help keep families safely together wherever possible.
What You Will Do
- Manage a managed caseload of children subject to Children in Need, Child Protection plans, and Looked After Children procedures.
- Work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary Family Safeguarding model alongside specialists in adult mental health, substance misuse, and domestic abuse.
- Complete robust, evidence-based analytical assessments and high-quality court reports when required.
- Chair family network meetings and partner with external agencies to deliver tailored, outcome-focused support plans.
- Advocate fiercely for the best interests of children while building strong, constructive relationships with parents and carers.
What We Are Looking For
- Qualification: Qualified Social Worker (SWE/Social Work England registered).
- Experience: Proven post-qualifying experience within statutory Children's Services (Cin, CP, or Children in Care).
- Skills: Strong assessment skills, confidence in court processes, and a solid understanding of relational practice models.
- Availability: Ready for immediate setup with interviews being conducted ASAP.
