Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller. This role is central to ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of group financial reporting, consolidation, and control activities across a complex international structure. The successful candidate will lead the month-end close, engage directly with auditors, and work closely with regional controllers and finance operations to maintain strong governance and process discipline.

... - Financial Reporting & Consolidation
- Lead the monthly and quarterly group consolidation process under IFRS, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
- Prepare and review group-level financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate and manage reporting timelines and deliverables across regional finance teams.
- Close Process & Review
- Own and coordinate the month-end close, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to deadlines.
- Review and challenge regional submissions, supporting analytical review and variance analysis.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and quality of reporting.
- Audit & External Reporting
- Act as the primary point of contact for external auditors, managing audit requests, deliverables, and responses.
- Support the preparation of statutory accounts and audit working papers.
- Ensure audit findings and recommendations are addressed promptly and effectively.
- Intercompany & Balance Sheet Control
- Oversee intercompany reconciliations, eliminations, and transfer pricing adjustments.
- Ensure all balance sheet accounts are properly reconciled and supported.
- Drive resolution of mismatches in collaboration with local and shared service teams.
- Intellectual Property (IP) Capitalisation & Project Accounting
- Oversee accounting for internally generated software and other capitalised development costs in accordance with IFRS.
- Partner with Technology and FP&A to ensure accurate tracking, capitalization, and amortization of IP assets.
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Collaborate closely with regional controllers, FP&A, and senior finance leadership to support accurate management and statutory reporting.
- Build strong cross-functional relationships to align on accounting policies, reporting standards, and process improvements.
- Controls & Governance
- Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with group accounting policies.
- Support continuous improvement of financial systems, processes, and documentation to meet audit and regulatory standards.
Skills & Experience Required
- Professional Qualification: ACA, ACCA, or equivalent.
- Experience: 8-12 years post-qualification experience, ideally in a regulated financial services or technology environment.
- Technical Expertise:
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, consolidation, and group reporting.
- Proven experience in month-end close, auditor engagement, and financial statement preparation.
- Hands-on experience with intercompany accounting, balance sheet control, and IP capitalisation.
- Systems Knowledge: Proficiency with ERP and consolidation tools (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Anaplan, Workday).
