- Conduct technical compliance audits and condition assessments of timber (FD30/FD60) and steel fire doors, frames, ironmongery, and seals.
- Evaluate installations against BS 8214, BS 476, EN 1634, and the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.
- Capture inspection data, photos, and floorplan pin-drops using tablet software while on site.
- Deliver surveying programs across commercial, healthcare, higher education, and public sector estates.
- Focus 100% on technical auditing and inspection (strictly no physical fitting or installation work).
- Minimum 2 years of dedicated fire door or compartmentation surveying experience.
- Dedicated inspection background (hands-on fitting without formal surveying experience is not suitable).
- Recognized industry certification preferred (FDIS DipFD, BRE ABBE Level 3, BM TRADA Q-Mark, NAFDI, or FIRAS Inspector).
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Mobile technology that automates report drafting and eliminates administrative backlogs.
- Stable public sector and commercial contracts.
- Support for ongoing professional development and accreditations.
