Are you an experienced Children's Social Worker who excels at making fast-paced, child-focused decisions at the initial point of contact?
We are currently recruiting two experienced Social Workers to join the busy, dynamic Front Door Team in Leicester. Earning a competitive £35.00 per hour, you will play a critical role in screening incoming contacts, assessing thresholds, and ensuring children and families receive the right level of support at the right time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Triage & Screening: Evaluate incoming referrals, safeguarding contacts, and information requests from multi-agency partners, applying clear statutory threshold criteria.
- Risk Assessment: Conduct initial risk screenings and information gathering to identify statutory Child in Need (Section 17), Child Protection (Section 47), or Early Help needs.
- Multi-Agency Liaison: Work closely with police, health, education, and early intervention partners to make safe, timely joint decisions.
- Signposting & Case Transfer: Provide professional guidance to partner agencies and ensure smooth, well-documented case handovers to assessment and locality teams.
What We Are Looking For:
- Professional Registration: Active registration with Social Work England (SWE).
- Core Competencies: Proven post-qualifying experience within a Front Door, MASH (Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub), Triage, or First Response environment.
- Decision-Making: Confident, decisive decision-maker capable of managing complex information quickly and accurately under statutory timeframes.
- Key Skills: Exceptional risk management, strong analytical report-writing, and effective multi-agency communication skills.
