The Technical & Scientific Support (TSS) group within Clinical Affairs have an temporary contract opportunity for a graduate Scientist I to join their team, responsible for providing scientific support and guidance to the worldwide business.
This role provides an excellent opportunity for a Scientist wanting to focus on technical writing and the review of scientific literature and clinical evidence. The main area of focus in the group is the timely delivery of key technical reports under the MDR and IVDR for client products to enable CE marking and the selling of medical devices in the EU. In addition, the team interacts with client colleagues in key business functions including product registrations, reimbursement applications, new tender acquisitions, and product evaluations.
Day to day, this varied role requires collation and appraisal of clinical evidence, including scientific literature reviews, writing technical product summaries on client and competitor products and subsequent preparation of reports for Clinical Evaluation and Post-Market Clinical Follow-Up.
You should be excited about working in a fast-paced environment within a hard-working and welcoming team. You will be keen to develop your skills in scientific writing, data analysis, understanding the clinical requirements of the regulations, and production of reports and impactful presentations of your findings.
To be successful, you will be qualified to higher-level education as a minimum in a science discipline. You will bring proven experience of critical thinking and the ability to consolidate this through effective technical writing. The ideal candidate will be a proactive individual who takes initiative and is able to work within a team and be comfortable collaborating with other functions across the UK and US.
