We are seeking a dedicated Health and Safety Engagement Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will play a central part in driving our safety culture forward by supporting the development and implementation of behavioural programs. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to significant infrastructure projects, ensuring that safety, well-being, and engagement remain at the heart of our operations.
Key Responsibilities:- Support the implementation of behavioural safety programs for leadership, supervisors, and the wider workforce.
- Facilitate "Train the Trainer" sessions and engagement workshops to ensure consistent safety standards across all project locations.
- Analyse climate survey findings and cultural maturity assessments to identify and execute improvement actions.
- Monitor program adoption, preparing detailed monthly reports that identify strengths, gaps, and areas for strategic intervention.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop creative safety campaigns and maintain current engagement content for front line teams.
- Ensure all policies and procedures align with current health and safety legislation and industry best practices.
- Minimum of 3 years of recent experience in a health, safety, or behavioural engagement-focused environment.
- NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate (or equivalent) is essential.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with specific experience in Power BI for data visualisation and reporting.
- Strong communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to influence and engage diverse stakeholders.
- Proven ability to interpret safety data and trends to drive cultural change.
- Experience within the civil engineering or construction sectors is highly desirable.
- Contract duration: Until 31/03/2027
- Pay rates: £350 - £400
- Work location: Birmingham - travel needed to sites
- Opportunity to contribute to a major, long-term project until 2030.
