Job Role
As an HLTA, you will be a key figure in the school's leadership support. Your responsibilities include:
Leading whole classes across various year groups to cover PPA time or teacher absences.
Delivering pre-planned lessons with enthusiasm, ensuring all students remain engaged and on task.
Adapting curriculum content to meet the diverse needs of learners within the classroom.
Collaborating with the wider school team to maintain high standards of behaviour and academic achievement.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must meet the following criteria:
HLTA Status or a relevant Level 4 qualification (or equivalent experience).
ESSENTIAL: You must have previous UK experience working as an HLTA or in a senior support role within a primary school.
Strong classroom management skills and the ability to work independently.
An enhanced DBS on the update service (or the willingness to process a new one).
