Job Role
In this role, you will utilise your teaching expertise to provide high-quality classroom cover. Your responsibilities include:
Leading whole-class instruction across various year groups to cover PPA time or teacher absences.
Delivering pre-planned lessons with confidence, ensuring student engagement and progress.
Managing classroom dynamics effectively using your professional experience.
Supporting the wider school team by providing feedback on pupil attainment and behaviour.
Requirements
To excel in this transition, you must meet the following criteria:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a recognised HLTA Qualification.
ESSENTIAL: You must have recent UK experience teaching or leading classes in a primary setting.
A proactive "can-do" attitude and the ability to adapt to different school environments.
An enhanced DBS on the update service (or the willingness to process a new one).
