Are you a tech-savvy educator looking for a teaching role that offers genuine flexibility, competitive pay, and strong work-life balance? Whether you are drawn to the complete autonomy and variety of day-to-day supply cover or searching for the stability and connection of a long-term departmental placement, we have fantastic opportunities tailored directly to your schedule.
We are currently partnering with a welcoming network of secondary schools, academies, and high schools in King's Lynn and across the surrounding West Norfolk area. We are experiencing high demand for innovative, reliable ICT and Computer Science Teachers who can deliver engaging, future-focused lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (with Key Stage 5 opportunities available for candidates interested in A-Level teaching).
Whether you are an experienced ICT/Computer Science Teacher seeking a better work-life balance, or an Early Career Teacher (ECT) eager to gain valuable experience across different school IT facilities, we can help you find your ideal role.
Choose Your Ideal Way of Working:
- Day-to-Day Cover: Enjoy total control over your diary. Simply select the specific days you wish to work to suit your lifestyle, family commitments, or personal projects. It is a brilliant way to teach your subject across different local secondary schools.
- Long-Term Opportunities: If you prefer consistency, we offer fixed-term placements spanning a term or a full academic year (covering maternity, sickness, or vacant posts). This allows you to integrate fully into an IT/Computing department, manage classroom projects, guide students through GCSE specifications, and inspire the digital innovators of tomorrow.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver dynamic, well-structured ICT and Computer Science lessons across KS3 and KS4, covering digital literacy, software applications, programming (e.g., Python), hardware, and cybersecurity.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and practical learning environment where students feel confident developing their digital skills and problem-solving abilities.
- Maintain effective classroom management and ensure all school IT safety policies and acceptable use guidelines are followed.
- Differentiate lessons effectively to support all pupils, challenging high achievers while supporting students who need extra guidance.
- For long-term roles: take ownership of lesson planning, ongoing assessment, preparing students for GCSE exams/coursework, and contributing to departmental development.
What We Look For:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), QTLS, or a recognised equivalent secondary teaching qualification specialising in ICT, Computer Science, or Business & IT.
- Strong subject knowledge across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 Computing and ICT curriculums.
- Confident classroom management skills and the ability to inspire interest in technology and modern computing.
- An adaptable, proactive mindset, ready to hit the ground running in different secondary computer suite environments.
- A valid Enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service (or a willingness to complete one).
Benefits of Working With Us:
- Competitive rates of pay, processed weekly and reflective of your experience and specialist subject expertise.
- A dedicated local consultant with deep knowledge of the secondary education sector in King's Lynn and West Norfolk.
- A transparent service that works strictly around your declared availability.
- Excellent networking opportunities across local secondary schools, which frequently lead to direct, permanent contracts.
