About the Role

Working as a key link between the business and its clients, you will manage day-to-day customer accounts, handle incoming inquiries, process sales orders, and provide accurate pricing and product information. This role combines hands-on sales support, account administration, and customer relationship building within a fast-moving commercial setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Account Management: Act as a responsive point of contact for clients via telephone and email, handling inquiries, providing updates, and building long-term working relationships.
- Quotations & Pricing: Prepare accurate quotes, evaluate product requests, manage pricing information, and follow up on inquiries to convert leads into confirmed orders.
- Order Processing & Systems: Accurately enter and process sales orders, raise documentation, update CRM records, and track deliveries through to successful completion.
- Cross-Department Collaboration: Liaise regularly with internal teams; including Logistics, Purchasing, Production, and Quality to ensure customer lead times and commitments are met.
- Issue Resolution: Take ownership of customer complaints or delivery delays, resolving issues efficiently and maintaining clear communication with the client.
- Sales Support: Support Sales Development Managers by handling client calls in their absence and maintaining up-to-date customer databases.
About You:
- Experience: Proven track record in Sales Support Administration, Internal Sales, or a similar fast-paced commercial environment.
- Industry Background: Previous experience within manufacturing, engineering, metals, or technical distribution is highly desirable.
- Communication & Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills with the confidence to speak with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
- Technical Aptitude: High standard of IT literacy (Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) alongside the ability to pick up internal business databases and CRM systems quickly.
- Mindset: Strong numerical ability, keen attention to detail, proactive problem-solving skills, and a desire to learn.

Salary: £30,000 - £33,500 (depending on experience)
