We are currently recruiting for an Island Community Support Worker to provide vital care at home for older adults across Scotland's beautiful islands.This is a fast-paced and varied role where you will be carrying out multiple visits per day within the local community. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Providing personal care and administering medication.
- Ensuring safe moving and handling of clients.
- Working independently in the community (lone working).
The Schedule: You will need to be fully flexible, as shift times will vary throughout the hours of 07:00 to 23:00. You will be required to work across all days of the week, generally completing 5-6 days per week.What We Are Looking For:
- Experience: You must have a minimum of 1 year of care experience supporting older adults. Previous experience in Care at Home or working in a remote/island placement is highly preferred.
- Driving: You must be a driver with access to your own vehicle. Please note that a UK driving license is specifically required for placements in Orkney.
- Gender: Due to specific personal care requirements, female staff are preferred for this role, though male candidates can sometimes be utilised.
