About the Role
We are searching for a passionate KS1 Teacher to join a friendly and welcoming primary school in the Benfleet area. This position involves taking full class responsibility for either Year 1 or Year 2, guiding young learners through key foundational milestones in phonics, early mathematics, and social development.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, deliver, and assess interactive, creative lessons aligned with the Key Stage 1 framework.
- Prepare pupils for national phonics screening and end-of-key-stage assessments.
- Differentiate learning to cater to diverse abilities, including pupils with SEND.
- Build strong, collaborative relationships with parents, guardians, and support staff.
What You Need
- QTS (ECTs and experienced teachers are warmly encouraged to apply).
- Sound knowledge of the KS1 curriculum and phonics schemes (e.g., Read Write Inc., Little Wandle).
- A vibrant, patient, and nurturing approach to primary education.
