On behalf of several highly supportive, inclusive, and vibrant primary schools across South Liverpool, Randstad Education is seeking experienced or highly motivated 1:1 Teaching Assistants for Key Stage 2 (Years 3 to 6). These rewarding roles involve working closely with individual pupils who require dedicated, one-to-one support to manage their learning, boost their confidence, and thrive in the classroom.
The Role: Impact & Responsibilities
As a 1:1 specialist, you will be a dedicated support system for a pupil, helping them overcome barriers to learning, stay engaged with the curriculum, and unlock their full potential.
- Tailor the Learning: Adapt KS2 curriculum tasks into engaging, accessible activities that align with the pupil's individual learning style and pace.
- Positive Learning Support: Act as a calming, consistent presence, helping pupils navigate moments of frustration, anxiety, or disengagement during lessons.
- Structuring Success: Implement clear routines, visual prompts, and structured brain breaks to help the pupil stay focused and navigate the school day with confidence.
- Collaborative Progress: Work hand-in-hand with Class Teachers, SENCos, and our Randstad team to track progress against individual learning and development targets.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for professionals who understand that every child learns differently and can look past academic challenges to see the child's true potential.
- Relevant Experience: Prior experience supporting children on a 1:1 basis or within an educational setting is highly advantageous (though passionate individuals with transferable care, sports coaching, or youth work experience are welcome to apply).
- An Engaging Mindset: Exceptional patience, a warm demeanor, and the ability to find creative ways to re-engage a child when they lose focus.
- Proactive & Intuitive: The ability to recognize when a pupil is feeling overwhelmed and seamlessly implement positive intervention strategies.
- Reliable & Committed: A dependable professional who understands the immense value of consistency for a child requiring 1:1 support.
