We are seeking a top-tier Qualified Key Stage 2 Teacher for a full-time, long-term contract beginning in September 2026. This position is tailored for an educator who genuinely enjoys teaching upper or lower Key Stage 2 and thrives in a school culture that highly values child-centric instruction, innovative lesson design, and genuine staff camaraderie. Taking on this full-time role means assuming total classroom ownership-propelling pupil progress, navigating the journey toward SATs where applicable, and nurturing a lifelong curiosity for learning.
Key Responsibilities :
- Engaging Lesson Delivery: Plan and facilitate high-quality, thought-provoking lessons aligned with the Key Stage 2 National Curriculum, adapting your teaching strategies to stretch high-ability pupils while supporting all learners.
- Progress Tracking & Assessment: Monitor student milestones using robust formative and summative evaluation tools, translating data into effective academic support, target setting, or upper-tier enrichment activities.
- Classroom Team Leadership: Coordinate and collaborate with your classroom Teaching Assistants constructively, ensuring pupils with SEND and EAL requirements receive targeted, empowering guidance.
- Positive Environment: Foster a calm, stimulating, and respectful classroom culture rooted in positive reinforcement, clear operational routines, and emotional safety.
- Parental Partnership: Maintain transparent, professional, and consistent communication with parents and guardians regarding student breakthroughs, behaviour, and overall well-being.
- Collaborative School Contribution: Participate actively in year-group planning sessions, routine staff meetings, professional development days, and whole-school events.
What You'll Bring to the School
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Mandatory. A proven track record of successful teaching within a UK primary school setting, specifically across Key Stage 2 (Years 3 to 6). Both seasoned practitioners and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are welcome.
- Curriculum Confidence: A comprehensive, modern understanding of the KS2 curriculum framework, milestone tracking, and effective literacy, writing, and mastery-approach numeracy strategies.
- Confident Classroom Management: The ability to establish clear boundaries, hold junior students to high behavioural expectations, and inspire a focused, optimistic learning atmosphere from day one.
- Long-Term Consistency: The professional reliability to commit to a full-time, Monday-to-Friday teaching schedule starting in September 2026 for the full academic year.
- Compliance: A current Enhanced Child DBS registered on the Update Service (or a willingness to process a new application through Randstad).
