About the Role:
We are currently recruiting an experienced landscaper for a short-term contract on a new build housing development in Newcastle.
This role focuses on getting plot gardens and communal green spaces prepped and finished to handover standard. You will be working alongside the site team to clear plots, distribute topsoil, and lay out gardens ready for turfing and planting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clearing garden plots of rubble, rock, and construction debris.
- Spreading, grading, and leveling topsoil across front and rear gardens.
- Preparing ground for turf laying, seeding, and planting beds.
- Assisting with basic soft landscaping duties as required across the development.
- Operating basic landscaping tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Working as part of a team to ensure plots are left immaculate, safe, and organised for plot completion and customer handover.
Requirements:
- Valid CSCS Card (Essential).
- Solid ground preparation and soft landscaping experience on new build residential sites.
- Ability to carry out physically demanding outdoor tasks, including heavy lifting and raking.
- Full PPE (Hard hat, high-vis jacket/vest, steel toe cap boots).
- Strong work ethic, punctuality, and attention to detail.
- Based in or within easy commuting distance of Newcastle upon Tyne.
