Are you passionate about helping young people overcome barriers to education? We are looking for a dedicated and empathetic Learning Mentor to support students across Plymouth in rebuilding their confidence and developing practical learning strategies. In this role, you will work both within a school environment and out in the local community, delivering tailored guidance to help young people re-engage with their education and thrive.
What do we offer- Pay: £92.50 - £95.00 per day
- Schedule: Long-term, Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm (no evenings or weekends)

- Provide 1:1 or small-group support to help students build confidence, self-esteem, and resilience.
- Assist students in developing effective strategies for learning, staying organised, and managing the challenges of school life.
- Accompany and support students on various learning activities taking place in the local community.
- Work collaboratively with school staff, caregivers, and internal teams to monitor and encourage student progress.
- Education: Minimum of GCSE grade 4/C (or equivalent) in both Maths and English.
- Driving: A full UK driving license and access to a vehicle is essential due to the nature of community travel.
- Experience: Prior experience working with children or young people in an educational, youth work, or care setting is highly desirable.
- Skills: Strong communication abilities, patience, an adaptive mindset, and a genuine passion for mentoring.
