Are you dedicated to making a meaningful difference in the lives of young people? We are currently seeking a professional and resilient Learning Mentor to join our alternative provision team in Plymouth. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in supporting students as they navigate their educational journey, helping them re-engage with the classroom environment and achieve their potential.
Responsibilities:- Provide dedicated support to young people, assisting them in their transition back into a classroom setting.
- Develop and implement personalised strategies to facilitate effective learning and academic progress.
- Collaborate closely with parents and carers to ensure a cohesive support system for the student.
- Facilitate learning experiences outside the classroom by taking students out into the community for enrichment and educational development.
- Possession of a valid driving licence is essential for this role.
- A professional approach to working with young people in challenging educational environments.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with students and families.
- Ability to remain calm, patient, and solution-focused.
- Location: Plymouth
- Working Hours: 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM
- Rate of Pay: £92.56 - £95.00 per day
