Learning Support Worker | Cranleigh, Surrey | Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm
Let's be honest: most job ads sound exactly the same. They promise "dynamic environments" and "passionate teams."
We're not going to do that. Instead, here is exactly what this job is, and exactly what it isn't.
What this job IS NOT:
It is not a desk job. You won't be staring at spreadsheets or answering passive-aggressive emails.
It is not a traditional classroom. You'll spend just as much time out in the Cranleigh community, helping adults access social events or local jobs, as you will in our centre.
It is not an easy ride. You will be supporting adults with autism. Sometimes, they exhibit challenging behaviour. You need a thick skin, a calm head, and serious resilience.
It is not glamorous. You will be helping people with dignity-focused personal care (washing, dressing, toileting). If you are squeamish about this, this isn't the role for you.
What this job IS:
It is a role where you see the direct impact of your work every single day.
It is strictly Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. No evenings, no weekends, and we actually close the entire centre over Christmas so you get a proper break.
It is a place where your personality matters more than your CV. If you are patient, empathetic, and reliable, we will teach you the rest (including fully paid medication and support training).
The Essentials:
Located in Cranleigh, Surrey.
25 days holiday + Bank Holidays (inc. Christmas closure).
Requires an Enhanced DBS check.
If you're tired of meaningless jobs and want to do something that actually matters, let's talk. No long application forms required for a chat.
