Lesson Delivery: Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons and activities that build knowledge and skills.
Personal Care: Ensure individual needs are met through effective personal care (including support with toileting, dressing, and washing), enabling learners to maintain personal and environmental hygiene.
Behavioural Support: Provide behaviourally based support to reduce behaviours that cause barriers to learning and quality of life.
Community & Employment: Support learners' participation in social, leisure, and educational activities within the local community, as well as helping them access local employment opportunities.
Empowerment: Facilitate decision-making, promoting choice, involvement, and individual empowerment.
Progress Tracking: Collect, record, and analyse data on learner progress to ensure teaching remains effective.
Medication: Once fully trained, administer medication safely in accordance with company policies.
What We Are Looking For:
Professional, personal, or voluntary experience working with adults or young people with disabilities.
An interest in special educational needs, specifically autism, and a willingness to learn more about how to best support adult learners.
Comfort and confidence in working with individuals who may exhibit challenging behaviour, with the ability to keep calm in high-pressure situations.
Comfort supporting others with personal/intimate care where required.
Excellent teamwork skills and the ability to build strong working relationships with learners, parents, and staff.
Sound literacy and numeracy skills (Maths & English Language GCSE Grade C/4 or above is desirable).
