Job Title: M&E Supervisor

Hours: Monday - Friday: 8am - 5pm

Salary: £52,000 + overtime

The Opportunity

We are seeking a high-calibre Maintenance Supervisor to direct day-to-day estate upkeep across a flagship, high-specification facility. Balancing operational supervision with technical compliance, you will oversee our internal fabric team, govern water management systems, manage third-party supply chain partners, and serve as a dependable operational interface for client stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

1. Service Delivery & Team Supervision

• Workforce & Subcontractor Coordination: Supervise and direct the day-to-day activities of internal fabric maintenance technicians and specialist third-party contractors, ensuring work meets high standards of craftsmanship and safety.
• Water Systems Oversight: Maintain operational supervision of site water management systems and associated water hygiene regimes to ensure continuous compliance with statutory standards.
• Work Allocation & Scheduling: Plan, coordinate, and allocate planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive tasks from initial intake through to completion, prioritizing workloads to satisfy contractual SLAs and performance KPIs.
• People & Performance Management: Monitor team performance, timekeeping, and attendance; uphold company operating policies; and assist with internal investigations, staff training, and operational cover when required.

2. Systems Administration, Materials & Compliance

• Maintenance Data Systems (CAFM): Operate computerized maintenance management systems to log tasks, update work records, track asset histories, and maintain meticulous compliance documentation.
• Health & Safety Governance: Author, review, and apply practical Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS), maintaining a proactive safety culture across all assigned areas.

3. Client Partnership & Incident Management

• Client Engagement: Act as a visible point of contact for client representatives and building managers, addressing operational queries and resolving issues swiftly and professionally.
• Emergency Escalation: Support the site's emergency response procedures and actively participate in a 24-hour on-call escalation rota (including weekends and bank holidays on a scheduled basis).

What We Are Looking For

Experience & Attributes:

• Proven Supervisory Background: Demonstrable track record supervising facilities maintenance teams, trade operatives, and specialist service partners.
• Maintenance Planning & Delivery: Proven ability to organize, schedule, and quality-audit planned maintenance programmes to high operational standards.
• Technical & Safety Compliance: Competent in producing and enforcing Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) and managing statutory building compliance.
• Systems Literacy: Experienced in utilizing maintenance data systems (CAFM / CMMS) and standard office software to track performance metrics and manage inventory.
• Client & Interpersonal Polish: Professional communication skills with the diplomacy and composure to build positive relationships across clients, senior management, and operational teams.
• Flexibility & Reliability: Willing and able to participate in a structured 24-hour on-call standby rota, responding calmly and effectively to out-of-hours emergencies.
