Salary: £32,916 - £45,352 per annum (M1 to M6, depending on experience)
Contract: Permanent, Part-Time / Term-Time Only (40 hours per week)
Location: Covering hubs across Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, and Leicestershire
Think outside the textbook. Teach Maths where it matters most.
If you believe that education is about building connections before teaching formulas, you belong here.
Many young people aged 7 to 19 feel "lost to learning" or overwhelmed by traditional school environments. We do things differently. By placing authentic relationships at the heart of everything we do, we design creative, personalised educational pathways that help students rebuild their confidence and realise their potential.
We are looking for an energetic, innovative Maths Teacher who wants to make a real-world impact every single day.
The Vibe: Less Bureaucracy, More Breakthroughs
In this role, you throw out the rigid rows of desks. You will have the creative freedom to make maths practical, relatable, and engaging for young people who have historically struggled with the subject.
What your week will look like:
Creative Teaching: Deliver maths across a variety of unique settings, including 1:1 mentoring sessions, small group workshops, and active vocational environments.
Real-World Maths: Design and adapt lessons that connect maths to everyday life (from Functional Skills to GCSE), catering directly to the unique interests of your learners.
Team Collaboration: Partner with regional Learning Managers to track progress and celebrate every milestone-no matter how small.
Unrivalled Support: You're never on an island. You will receive bespoke coaching from our Heads of Quality of Education and collaborate closely with a vibrant network of educators across the region.
Who You Are
You don't need decades of experience, but you do need passion, patience, and a thick skin. We are looking for an educator who sees the potential in every student, especially when they can't see it themselves.
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is required.
An engaging, empathetic communication style-you know how to connect with young people on their level.
An interest or background in SEN/Alternative Provision is highly preferred (though excellent mainstream teachers looking to transition are welcome!).
On the Move: A valid driving license, access to a vehicle, and business insurance are essential, as you will be travelling to different local hubs to meet your learners.
Why This is the Perfect Next Step for You
If you want to fast-track your skills in behaviour management, personalised learning, and trauma-informed pedagogy, this role offers an unmatched environment to grow. You will enjoy a high degree of trust, zero "teaching to the test" culture, and the unforgettable reward of watching a young person re-engage with their future.
