Are you a Qualified Mathematics Teacher looking for a teaching role that works around your life, rather than the other way around? Whether you are seeking the ultimate control and variety of day-to-day supply cover, or you prefer the rewarding consistency of a long-term classroom placement, we have exceptional opportunities tailored exactly to your schedule.
We are currently partnering with an established portfolio of excellent secondary schools, academies, and colleges throughout Norwich and the surrounding Norfolk area. We are experiencing a high demand for enthusiastic, analytical, and dedicated Maths specialists who can inspire students across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, and potentially Key Stage 5.
Whether you are an experienced Maths educator looking to step away from the administrative pressures of full-time departmental leadership, or an Early Career Teacher (ECT) eager to build confidence and experience across different school cultures, we can help you find your perfect balance.
Find Your Ideal Way of Working:
Day-to-Day Cover: Take complete control of your schedule. Choose exactly which days you want to work to perfectly fit around your personal commitments, studies, or lifestyle. It is a fantastic way to experience different school settings.
Long-Term Opportunities: If you prefer stability, we have fixed-term roles spanning a term or a full academic year (covering maternity, sickness, or interim gaps). This is the perfect way to truly embed yourself within a departmental team, manage specific year groups, help pupils prepare for GCSEs, and see your students progress.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality, engaging Maths lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (Key Stage 5 experience is welcomed but not essential).
Create a positive and focused learning environment where pupils feel confident tackling mathematical concepts and problem-solving.
Adapt learning resources to support both struggling students and high-achievers looking for a stretch.
For long-term roles: plan, prepare, and assess student work, participate in departmental planning, and contribute to parent consultations.
What We Look For:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), QTLS, or equivalent mathematics teaching qualifications.
A degree in Mathematics (or a highly relevant STEM subject) with strong curriculum knowledge.
Confident classroom management skills and the ability to keep secondary learners motivated and on-task.
An adaptable, proactive approach, ready to hit the ground running in vibrant secondary environments.
A valid Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or a willingness to complete one).
Benefits of Working With Us:
Competitive rates of pay, processed weekly and reflective of your experience level.
A dedicated local consultant with deep knowledge of the Norwich and wider Norfolk secondary education sectors.
A completely transparent service that works strictly around your personal availability.
The chance to explore different local schools, which frequently opens doors to permanent positions if that is your ultimate goal.
