St Neots
Are you a mathematical strategist capable of empowering students to decode the language of logic and pattern?
Do you possess the pedagogical precision to guide learners from fundamental arithmetic to the complexities of advanced calculus with clarity and confidence?
We are seeking a highly motivated and intellectually rigorous Qualified Maths Teacher (QTS) for a permanent position at our partner school in St Neots, commencing this September. This school is committed to raising standards of numeracy across the curriculum and is looking for a specialist who can inspire students to see Mathematics not just as a classroom requirement, but as a vital tool for understanding the modern world.
Your Responsibilities
- Academic Excellence: Plan and deliver high-impact lessons across KS3 and KS4, with the opportunity to teach A-Level Mathematics and Further Maths for suitably qualified candidates.
- Conceptual Mastery: Foster a deep "mastery" approach to learning, ensuring students understand the underlying principles of mathematical operations rather than just memorising formulas.
- GCSE Strategy: Lead Year 11 cohorts through their exam specifications, utilising precise data tracking to identify attainment gaps and implement effective, high-level interventions.
- STEM Integration: Collaborate with the Science and Technology departments to highlight the practical applications of Mathematics in engineering, physics, and digital logic.
- Curriculum Evolution: Contribute to the development of a dynamic curriculum that challenges high-attainers while providing robust scaffolding for students who find the subject more challenging.
- Pastoral Stewardship: Act as a Form Tutor, playing a key role in the academic and personal development of your tutees within the school's supportive house system.
What You'll Bring to the Team
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Mandatory. A degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or a highly numerical discipline.
- Logical Clarity: The ability to communicate complex, abstract ideas (from probability to algebraic proof) in a structured and accessible manner.
- Resilience & Ambition: A commitment to the school's ethos of continuous improvement and a belief that every student is capable of mathematical success.
- Classroom Authority: Exceptional management skills that ensure a calm, productive, and high-focus environment for every learner.
- Compliance: An enhanced Child DBS on the Update Service (or a willingness to process a new one via Randstad).
Why Partner with Randstad?
- Permanent Security: This is a direct-hire permanent contract starting in September, offering full integration into the school's staff body and long-term career stability.
- Competitive Remuneration: Payment on the full MPS/UPS scale, with potential for TLR (Teaching and Learning Responsibility) for candidates with leadership experience.
- St Neots Connectivity: Work in a growing community with excellent transport links to Cambridge, Huntingdon, and London.
- Expert Advocacy: Work with Neeraj, your dedicated consultant, who will navigate the interview and negotiation process on your behalf.
- Referral Rewards: Earn a £300 voucher for every qualified teacher you successfully refer to our team!
