We are seeking a dedicated and high-energy Qualified Teacher (QTS) for a full-time, long-term temporary position at one of our partner secondary schools. This role provides the stability of a full-time schedule (Monday-Friday) while allowing you to maintain your status as a specialist consultant. Whether you are covering a planned absence or supporting a department during a period of transition, your expertise will be vital in ensuring students remain on track for academic success.
Your Responsibilities
- Academic Continuity: Plan and deliver high-quality lessons across KS3 and KS4, ensuring that the scheme of work is followed and learning objectives are consistently met.
- Assessment & Feedback: Take full responsibility for marking, tracking student progress, and providing detailed feedback to ensure data-driven improvement.
- Classroom Authority: Establish immediate rapport with students, maintaining a focused and respectful environment through effective behaviour management strategies.
- Collaborative Integration: Attend departmental meetings and contribute to the wider life of the school, working closely with colleagues to share resources and best practices.
- Exam Preparation: Support GCSE cohorts through intensive revision periods and internal assessments, utilising your subject expertise to boost attainment.
- Pastoral Support: Often acting as a temporary Form Tutor, you will provide daily guidance and support to a dedicated group of learners.
What You'll Bring to the Team
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) / QTLS: Mandatory. A degree in your specific subject specialism.
- Proven Resilience: The ability to hit the ground running in a new school environment and quickly adapt to their specific systems and culture.
- Commitment: The reliability to fulfill a full-time schedule for the duration of the temporary contract (typically 1-3 terms).
