Pay: 27000 - 33000 dependent on experience
Annual Performance Bonus
Hours: Full-time, flexible shift patterns (Mon-Sun)
Sector: Children's Residential Care
Are you ready to be the person who changes a young person's trajectory?
I am currently looking for several passionate and resilient Residential Care Workers to join a forward-thinking therapeutic home in Swansea. I've partnered with this provider because they don't just "provide a bed"-they cultivate resilience. They are looking for people who see past "challenging behaviour" to the young person underneath.
The Opportunity
Working with young people aged 8-17 in looked-after care, you will be joining a team that prioritises empowerment over control. This is a chance to work in an environment that is trauma-informed and deeply committed to the physical and emotional wellbeing of both staff and residents.
Your Impact:
Be a Role Model: You'll manage the day-to-day "rhythm of the home"-from meal prep and activities to helping with transport and school runs.
Provide Stability: Many of these young people have faced significant trauma; you will be the consistent, safe adult who helps them navigate their world.
Clinical Excellence: You'll deliver care aligned with bespoke individual plans, including medication administration and progress reporting.
Champion Inclusion: Support young people with diverse needs, including ASD and sensory disabilities, ensuring their voices are heard in every decision.
Why work with me on this?
Competitive Pay and Annual Performance Bonus.
Career Growth: My client is a big believer in "Continuous Improvement"-they will invest in your training and personal development from day one.
The Perks: Free on-site parking, a solid company pension, and a culture that celebrates "one step together."
Stability: This is a permanent, full-time role with a structured shift pattern in a brand-new 2025 service.
What you'll need to bring:
The Basics: You MUST have a Full UK Driving Licence.
The Experience: At least some experience in children's residential, social work, or assisted living is essential.
The Knowledge: A solid grip on child development, safeguarding, and care regulations.
The Heart: Resilience, compassion, and a "can-do" attitude are non-negotiable.
Bonus Points: If you have a Level 2 in Health & Social Care or experience in Positive Behaviour Management (PBM), I want to hear from you today.
