We are recruiting an exceptional Qualified Primary Teacher (QTS) for a long-term position starting September 2026 at a welcoming partner school in Watford. Covering Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, this progressive primary school provides a rich learning environment dedicated to pupil growth. We need a forward-thinking teacher who can tailor lessons to diverse capabilities, lead classroom support staff effectively, and foster an environment where every pupil thrives.
Core Responsibilities
- Curriculum Design & Delivery: Plan and deliver high-impact, differentiated lessons aligned with National Curriculum standards to cater to varying learning capabilities.
- Core Subject Mastery: Integrate modern phonics schemes, interactive reading tasks, and practical math techniques into everyday instruction.
- Classroom Supervision: Direct and mentor classroom Teaching Assistants to ensure a safe, organised, and positive learning space.
- Progress Tracking: Conduct regular formative assessments to monitor pupil achievements, identify intervention needs, and celebrate success.
- Staff Collaboration: Work alongside the SENCO, key stage coordinators, and school leaders to ensure targeted support for SEND and EAL pupils.
- Parental Partnerships: Maintain supportive, clear communication with parents and carers to build a cohesive network around each child's learning journey.
Candidate Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Essential. Open to both experienced teachers and exceptional Early Career Teachers (ECTs) with UK primary experience.
- Pedagogical Understanding: Solid grasp of primary curriculum milestones, adaptive teaching methods, and positive behaviour reinforcement.
- Resilient Demeanour: A calm, patient, and grounded approach to maintaining a focused, productive classroom atmosphere.
- Team-Oriented Approach: A genuine commitment to working alongside colleagues to promote overall pupil well-being.
- Vetting Checks: Holds an Enhanced Child DBS registered on the Update Service (or readiness to complete a new application via Randstad).
