We are seeking a proactive Qualified Primary Teacher (QTS) for a long-term position commencing in September 2026 at a modern partner school based in Watford. Spanning Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, this well-resourced primary school focuses on building strong foundational skills while supporting student wellbeing. We need an engaging educational professional who can deliver adaptive lesson plans, guide classroom support staff, and create an environment where every student thrives.
Core Responsibilities
- Adapted Curriculum Planning: Design and execute high-impact, differentiated lessons aligned with National Curriculum frameworks to suit diverse learning speeds.
- Core Subject Delivery: Utilise interactive techniques, modern phonics schemes, and practical math strategies to boost pupil progress.
- Classroom Team Guidance: Inspire, manage, and collaborate with room Teaching Assistants to maintain a safe, highly productive learning environment.
- Progress Assessment: Implement regular formative tracking to assess academic growth, identify targeted intervention needs, and celebrate pupil milestones.
- Multidisciplinary Support: Work closely with the SENCO, year-group leads, and senior leadership to ensure tailored support for SEND and EAL pupils.
- Parental Partnerships: Maintain supportive, clear communication with parents and carers to ensure a unified network around each child's education.
Candidate Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Mandatory. Open to both experienced educators and exceptional Early Career Teachers (ECTs) with UK primary experience.
- Pedagogical Understanding: Solid grasp of primary learning milestones, adaptive teaching methodologies, and positive behaviour reinforcement strategies.
- Resilient Demeanour: A calm, grounded, and patient approach capable of maintaining focus and structure in active classrooms.
- Collaborative Mindset: A genuine desire to work alongside school staff to prioritise holistic pupil welfare and achievement.
- Compliance Checks: Holds an Enhanced Child DBS registered on the Update Service (or readiness to complete a new application via Randstad).
