About the Role:
- Provide strategic leadership and management to a large and complex Children's Services team.
- Oversee the delivery of high-quality services, ensuring compliance with legislation, policies, and best practice.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to improve outcomes for children and families.
- Manage budgets and resources effectively, ensuring efficient and cost-effective service delivery.
- Represent the team in meetings with internal and external stakeholders, advocating for children's needs.
- Foster a positive and supportive team environment, promoting professional development and collaboration.
- Contribute to the development of policies and procedures, ensuring they are current, effective, and aligned with organizational priorities.
- Monitor performance indicators, identifying areas for improvement and driving positive change.
Requirements:
- Registered with Social Care England.
- Minimum 3 years' post-qualification experience as a qualified Social Worker. Significant experience in senior management or leadership roles within Children's Services is essential.
- Proven leadership and strategic planning skills, with experience of leading and managing large teams.
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of children's social care legislation, policies, and procedures.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and decision-making skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding children and improving outcomes for vulnerable children and families.
