Role: Project Coordinator
We are seeking organised and motivated Project Coordinators to support our Project Management team. This contract position is a fantastic route for individuals looking to develop their project management career by working across a variety of crucial IT projects, including infrastructure, software implementations, and business change initiatives. The role reports to a Project Manager/Programme Lead/Senior Project Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support Project Managers with day-to-day project administration and coordination.
- Maintain and update project plans, schedules, and task trackers.
- Assist in the production and ongoing management of high-quality documentation, including Project Management Plans, Risk Registers, and Project Schedules.
- Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, and take accurate meeting minutes.
- Monitor and track project deliverables and deadlines.
- Ensure project documentation is complete, up-to-date, and stored in accordance with DMO standards.
- Maintain financial records of all projects and produce monthly financial reports (where applicable).
- Facilitate communication and information flow between internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Assist in ensuring compliance with project governance and processes.
- Raise internal resource requests and track them against planned activities.
- Support for risk, issue, and dependency tracking is also required under the guidance of the Project Manager.
Required Experience & Qualifications:
We are looking for a candidate with a relevant degree or further education qualification, or 1-2 years of experience in a project support or administrative role.
Essential Requirements:
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience in standard office applications including VISIO and Project is highly desirable.
- A positive can-do attitude, self-motivated, and a strong desire to succeed.
- Ability to work effectively within a team and under direction.
- Proactive, a problem-solver, and willing to learn.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Good understanding of project management principles and methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid).
- PRINCE2 Foundation (or equivalent entry-level certification).
- Agile awareness or introductory training.
