My client is expanding and are opening a brand-new, 6-bedded residential home in Manchester dedicated to supporting children and young people with complex emotional and behavioural needs (EBD).
We don't just provide "placements"-we provide a therapeutic life-space. We are looking for a visionary Registered Manager to lead this new home from its inception, shaping the culture, the team, and the therapeutic environment from day one.
The Role
As the Registered Manager, you will be the heart of the home. You will hold the Ofsted registration and take full ownership of the home's strategic and day-to-day operations.
Your mission:
Lead the Launch: Build and inspire a brand-new staff team, embedding a culture of accountability and reflection.
Clinical Excellence: Implement trauma-informed practice and attachment theory-based care.
Regulatory Mastery: Ensure the home not only meets but exceeds The Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and Ofsted Quality Standards.
Advocacy: Ensure every child's voice is heard, promoting their education, health, and long-term life chances.
What You'll Bring
Credentials: Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
Experience: At least 2 years as a Registered Manager (or Senior Management) within an EBD residential setting.
Regulatory Prowess: A proven track record of managing Ofsted inspections and a deep understanding of safeguarding frameworks.
Resilience: A calm, reflective leadership style with high emotional intelligence.
Mobility: A full UK driving licence is essential.
