Pay Rates (PAYE rolled up holiday): Days: £15.78/hr | Nights: £16.68/hr
The Role
Join our dedicated team as a Children's Residential Childcare Worker and help shape a safe, structured, and uplifting environment for young people. You will play a vital role in encouraging their emotional growth, education, and life skills.
Main Duties
- Support young residents daily according to their individual care strategies.
- Maintain a secure, clean, and positive living space that promotes independence.
- Help manage daily routines, educational engagement, and social activities.
- Use positive behavior support and de-escalation methods to handle challenging moments.
- Record accurate shift logs, care updates, and incident reports.
- Work with care managers, social services, and educational leads to secure the best care.
Requirements
- At least 6 months of experience in a UK children's residential setting.
- Demonstrable track record of direct support work with young people.
- Driven by empathy, resilience, and a desire to make a difference.
- Clear communication and active listening abilities.
