Core Responsibilities
- Deliver compassionate, 24-hour residential care to young people facing complex emotional and social difficulties.
- Establish a stable, welcoming home environment by aiding with daily schedules, meal preparation, routine domestic duties, and recreational outings.
- Encourage academic engagement and assist young residents in building vital independence and life skills.
- Maintain rigorous adherence to national care standards, precise administrative record-keeping, and proactive safeguarding procedures.
- Work closely with interdisciplinary professionals to manage therapeutic care plans effectively.
Candidate Requirements
- Driving Capability: A valid, full UK manual driving licence is mandatory for transporting young people in service vehicles.
- Core Values: Demonstrable resilience, deep empathy, active listening abilities, and an unshakeable commitment to child welfare.
- Qualifications: SVQ Level 3 / SCQF Level 7 in Children and Young People's Residential Care (or a genuine willingness to work towards this qualification).
- Compliance: Readiness to complete background checks under the PVG scheme (fully funded by the employer).
- Availability: Capability to commit to at least one shift every four weeks to retain active status.
Transferable Skills & Broader Backgrounds
