This fantastic service supports children and young people aged 5 to 18 with complex needs, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and emotional behavioural difficulties. A successful residential childcare worker will be responsible for:
Working effectively as part of a specialist multi-disciplinary team
Supporting the diverse social and educational needs of the children
Accompanying service users between residential units and the classroom
Co-ordinating closely with teachers and the wider care team
Maintaining a professional manner and upholding National Care Standards
Working a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and bank holidays
To be successful in your application, you will:
Have previous experience working in a care setting with young people
Display a flexible and adaptable approach to your work
Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills
Be registered (or willing to register) under the PVG scheme
Hold a full UK driving licence
Have obtained an SVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (Children and Young People), or equivalent
