Are you a Psychology graduate looking to bridge the gap between theory and clinical practice? Are you seeking the high-quality, hands-on SEN experience needed for post-graduate applications (DClinPsy, Educational Psychology, or ABA pathways)?
We are recruiting Residential Support Workers to join our "Outstanding" rated residential campus in Lingfield. Part of the UK's leading charity for young people with epilepsy, autism, and severe learning disabilities, this role provides an exceptional clinical environment to observe, understand, and support complex neurological and behavioural needs.
If you have a degree in Psychology (or a related field) alongside a minimum of 3 months of SEN experience, this is the perfect platform to elevate your professional portfolio.
The Graduate Advantage: Why Start Here?
Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Work directly alongside Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Teachers, and Healthcare Professionals.
Theory into Practice: Gain deep insight into positive behaviour support plans, communication barriers, and the daily impacts of neurodiversity.
Funded Development: We support your career progression with comprehensive, fully funded training and professional qualifications from day one.
The Term-Time Bonus: Perfect for balancing continued reading or research, this role is 39 weeks per year, giving you all school holidays off.
The Reality of the Role
This is a highly rewarding, active role supporting young people aged 4-25 to build daily independence.
Because our campus supports individuals with highly complex needs, you will put your resilience and empathy to work. Responsibilities include managing potentially challenging behaviours, supporting communication barriers, and providing daily personal care with utmost dignity and respect. You will never face these clinical challenges alone; you will operate within a tight-knit, heavily team-oriented environment.
What We are Looking For:
Education & Experience: A Psychology/Social Science degree paired with at least 3 months of experience in SEN, care, or education.
Key Attributes: Analytical mindset, emotional resilience, calm under pressure, and a strong team player.
Driving Licence: Essential. Due to our beautiful campus location and shift timings, you must be a driver with your own vehicle.
Availability: Ready to launch your professional career this September.
On-Site Perks:
Subsidised on-site restaurant and free parking
Potential access to affordable on-site accommodation
Employee rewards/discounts platform and occupational pension
(Note: To ensure student safety, all successful applicants must complete a pre-employment screening, including an enhanced DBS check and referencing.)
