    We have a great opportunity for a Management Accountant. The opportunity An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious finance professional to join a FTSE listed business with a track record of delivering high profile projects. The successful candidate will work in the Finance Team, who are responsible for the production of accurate and timely monthly accounts and slide presentations for senior management. My client is looking for a qualified accountant with strong analytic ability and attention to detail, as well as effective management of workload and excellent communication skills. The role would either suit a newly qualified accountant looking for a first move into industry or an experienced finance professional looking to progress their career. We expect the role will grow as the successful candidate gains experience within the team. Company benefits Company benefits · Discretionary annual bonus · Funded accountancy body membership fee · Generous company pension contributions · 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays) and holiday purchase scheme · Flexible home working arrangements · Cycle to work scheme · Subsidised private health and dental care · Wellness programmesRole overview The management accountant will support the Finance Manager with all aspects of their role, including Month End Reporting · Prepare Management Accounts in line with division and group timetables · Support production of sector and divisional slides for senior management · Prepare key payroll and bonus accrual journals · Provide overhead reporting and insightful explanations to the Finance Manager and Finance Director · Develop and present key trends and reports to the FP&A team Financial Accounts and Controls · Prepare statutory account packs for the relevant legal entities · Review Balance Sheet reconciliations and implement improvements where required · Liaise with sector and project teams to ensure Balance Sheet balances are justified and are appropriately explained · Support the Finance Manager and wider finance team with the statutory audit process · Assist the Finance Manager with projects to enhance and develop financial controls across the division Cash and Forecasting · Review bank reconciliations and account balances, liaising with Treasury to arrange changes to funding requirements · Support monthly cash reporting and work with the FP&A team to understand variances · Assist the Finance Manager in the preparation of the annual overhead budget Team · Deputise for the Finance Manager in their absence · Support and coach junior members of the team · Responsibilities expected to develop as experience within finance grows About you · Qualified accountant with recognised professional body (e.g. ICAEW / ICAS / ACCA / CIMA) · Experience of management reporting, cash reporting and variance analysis · Experience in statutory reporting and audit cycles · Budgeting and forecasting experience · System development or implementation experience · Ability to think strategically, challenge current processes and introduce improvements · Excellent communication skills, with confidence to present numbers to senior stakeholders · Ability to work to tight timescales whilst maintaining a high level of attention to detail · Highly competent with Microsoft Excel Randstad Financial & Professional encourage applications from individuals of all ages & backgrounds.
