      Nursery Manager- Maternity Cover Do you love working with children? Are you able to provide an excellent standard of childcare? We are looking to recruit an experienced and qualified nursery manager who is passionate about children's learning and development to join our friendly and caring team at our lovely nursery based in Burnley. The role is 40hrs a week on a rota basis to suit the needs of the business each week. This is a maternity cover position from October 2021- September 2022. The Role: The role involves providing professional leadership and management of the nursery team, effectively managing the day-to-day running of the nursery and delivering the highest standard of care and education. Responsibilities: - Providing excellent childcare - Take care of health and safety requirements including accident forms, risk assessments, fire evacuations and COSHH - Team development inspire, energise and support others - Work with the directors and assistant manager to complete regular supervisions and to mentor, train and coach staff - Ensure the smooth running of the nursery and completing administrative duties on time and to a high standard. Including staff rotas, HR, finance and invoicing - Ensure that OFSTED and EYFS requirements are met at all times and guidance followed correctly - Build positive relationships with parents and carers - Planning, preparing and reviewing the curriculum with the team to cater for the children's individual needs - Ensure that all policies and procedures are reviewed annually or sooner if needed, and that they are implemented and adhered to at all times - Designated Safeguarding Lead - Carry out ad hoc duties as needed such as provide cover for nursery staff if they are absent at short notice - To report back to the directors as required with any relevant information. Skills and Requirements: - Ideally hold Level 5 qualification or above in childcare or management, but essential that a minimum of a relevant Level 3 qualification in childcare is held - At least 3 years proven management experience of running an Ofsted rated good setting - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Ability to write reports and clear accurate records - Excellent organisational skills - Good leadership skills - Calm and caring nature - Ability to work as part of a team with inspirational and innovative approach - Ability to work on own initiative - Excellent IT skills - Reliable, enthusiastic and flexible - Able to perform under stress - Most important of all- a good sense of humour Salary: Competitive and dependent on experience Contract length: 12 months Application deadline: 19/07/2021 Job Types: Full-time, Temporary Salary: £19,500.00-£24,000.00 per year
