        A Product Configuration and BOM Analyst is required on a permanent basis to join an industry leading engineering and manufacturing business.Do you have a background in BOM analysis? Have you got experience of working in a fast paced environment? If you are seeking an exciting challenge then this is the role for you!Purpose of Role:To define and manage the configuration of all products built in Coventry, define, analyse and report on BOM's associated all configurations along with analysis of initial costs.Main duties and responsibilities:To define the configuration of all Coventry built products through close liaison with the Design Engineering Team & Product Management.Analyse and report on implications of specific configurations and run test models.Conduct in depth analysis of BOM's using appropriate tools such as excel & the companies databases / ERP system.Efficiently interrogate, diagnose & suggest corrective actions on any product configuration issues.Conduct any necessary ERP system administration tasks associated with product configuration.Be highly competent in the use of tools such as excel & ERP systems with a view to advising and coaching other team members in the same.The role works closely with Design Engineering, Product Management, Sales Admin, Master Scheduling and internal logistics.Essential experience:Proven experience in complex product configuration and systems setupA thorough understanding of BOM structures and cost roll upA solid understanding of engineering change order processesA solid understanding of product change processes and implicationsDesirable:Experience of working in a lower volume but complex environment. Knowledge of Oracle would be a big advantage Key Skills:Excellent standard of MS Office skills, at an advanced level for MS excelMeticulous attention to detailStrong ability to analyse data and draw relevant conclusionsAbility to organise, plan and document tasksStrong oral & written communication skillsProblem investigation and resolution skills and techniques.Ability to read Engineering drawings.This is an awesome opportunity to be part of a leading manufacturing business which offers an interesting, varied and exciting workload coupled with a motivated and passionate culture.
