You will be joining a team of three other software developers supporting the software development and maintenance of a WEB based enterprise application, which is a critical tool to our clients Biotech business. As well as working alongside a very talented and experienced team, you would be working on bespoke software that is often evolving - this role also comes with the flexibility to work from home most of the time and an excellent range of benefits. Responsibilities: To ensure timely delivery of new functionalityEnsure bugs are fixed quickly minimising disruption to the usersTo support the design and implementation of new functionsWorking as part of a team to develop the system/applicationCreating code for the new functionsSupporting system/application maintenanceDeveloping and implementing test scriptsSupporting validation activitiesEffectively handle issues to ensure optimal service Experience for the role: A degree in computer science (2:1 or above)3 or more years work experience post degreeSolid experience of most of these: Java, Javascript, HTML5 and CSS, Ajax, Relational Databases such as MySQL, JPA/HibernateGreat problem solving skillsStrong dedication to qualityDesire and ability to learn new frameworks and technologiesNot essential but working knowledge of Play framework 1.5.x, jQuery, Knockout.js, Jenkins CI would be a benefitSource code control systems such as GitExperience within Test driven developmentExposure to Cloud deployment environments such as AWS Randstad CPE values diversity and promotes equality.
