        We have a great opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to optimise operational performance through proactive /reactive maintenance techniques ensuring that safety is secured through the adoption of safe working practices and the provision of safe plant and equipment for our large electrical manufacturing client based in Leeds (LS10)Pay Rate and Hours of Work:£10 to £15/h, dependent on experience37 hours per week, plus the option of overtimeMonday - Friday - day shiftBenefits:33 Days paid annual leave, inclusive of bank holidaysExperience working for a large electrical manufacturer with a great culture and working environmentEmployee assistance programme, which includes discounts at high street shops, gym memberships, cinema tickets, and more.Pension SchemeWeekly pay each Friday.Canteen area with facilities including microwaves and vending machines3 additional days holiday during the Christmas periodFree parkingResponsibilities:Safeguard the integrity and safety of all plant and equipment associated with manufacturing operations through carrying out all work to agreed company standardsSupport the departmental drive towards continual improvementKeep accurate and up to date records within the computerised maintenance management system of all repairs, servicing and modifications to equipment to improve the integrity and relevance of data to allow an informed management decision making processMaintain and document an accurate and comprehensive system of spares for all equipment ensuring that critical spares are ordered to agreed stock levelsResponsibility of MTTR/MTBF/Service schedule adherence/CI activities/Critical spares in allocated areas.Support complex processes with a technical maintenance adviseMaintain the site facilities in line with internal and external regulationsEnsure the development of autonomous maintenance in allocated areas is trained to relevant parties and carried out effectively to maintain operational standardsEnsure that all breakdowns are attended to using advanced fault-finding techniques to minimise downtime to production equipmentProviding operational cover over on a variety of shift patternsCarrying out additional duties as determined by the line managerFollowing all policy guidelines on the processing of ordersRequirements:Formal craft apprenticeship (or equivalent) with engineering qualification at ONC / HNC (or equivalent) and minimum of 5 years electrical/electronic/mechanical17th edition wiring regulations2391 Test and inspection certificationMust be able to demonstrate a high level of computer / PLC literacy(desirable)Should be able to demonstrate a range of skills including team working, problem solving, good communication skills and enthusiasm (essential)Ensure that good 5s standards and personal discipline is maintainedEnsure that safe systems of work are strictly followedUndertake planned preventative maintenance periodically in line with statutory requirementsEnsure that the Schneider Production System/SIM rules are respected and adhered toIdentify and implement CI opportunities to remove cost and waste from the businessPromote the development and continuation of successful customer relationships and embrace customer feedback opportunities for improvementEnsure all costs are apportioned to the correct internal orders and cost centres.Ensure full commitment and support to training and personal development in order to effectively discharge operational objectivesSupport the Maintenance manager to ensure maximum efficiency of the departmentIf you would like to know more, click apply today!
